Imagine a morning with nowhere you need to be. You take your coffee outside, drawn by the light on the lake, and settle into your favourite seat. A swan glides past. Wild geese call overhead. You feel the fresh air on your face and find yourself watching the water, without thinking about what comes next.
There is time for breakfast to become a long conversation. For cooking with someone you love, getting lost in a book or sitting together without needing to say much. As evening falls, you linger outside a little longer, watching the last light settle on the lake.

Our lodge vision brings together Scandinavian simplicity and the warmth of natural materials. Charred timber outside, warm wood and soft textures within, with thoughtful details that make everyday moments feel lovely.
A kitchen where cooking together is part of the pleasure. A cosy corner for a quiet afternoon. Space around the table for another story and a little more laughter. Beyond the doors, a sheltered terrace where you can wrap yourself in a blanket and watch the water as the day draws to a close.

The setting
A quieter corner of Worcestershire.
Green Hill Fishery sits in the rural setting of Grimley, Worcestershire. Two lakes, an approximately 220-year-old black poplar and changing reflections give this place its character. Swans, wild geese and herons bring life to the water's edge, while large carp move beneath the surface.
We want to keep that feeling close. The landscape comes first, with the lodge concepts shaped around its views, its quiet corners and the pleasure of spending time outdoors.

The two overlapping circles in our signature pattern represent the connection between people and nature. Inspired by the delicate structure of a dragonfly's wing and the patterns and proportions found in nature, the design reflects our wish for you to feel part of this place.
Together, these inspirations express what Lakes & Lodges means to us: people feeling connected to nature and at home in their surroundings. We imagine the pattern in our timber screens, casting gentle shadows and bringing that meaning into the spaces where you spend your time.
